Manu is a golf brand inspired by culture and diversity. I first came up with the idea for Manu six months before launching, but within the first two months, I realized I needed help with setting up the business and creating a clear direction and business plan. I specifically sought out Pacific business mentors, as I needed someone who understood the unique challenges a Polynesian brand might face. That’s when I found the Pacific Business Trust (PBT) and joined them right away.
PBT supported me with funding to collaborate with professionals on developing a business plan, and they provided regular workshops covering marketing, social media, accounting, storytelling, and—most importantly—networking opportunities.
After the failure of my second business, it was hard to find the confidence to start another from scratch. PBT gave me the support I needed to rediscover my passion and regain the confidence to try again. Since then, I haven’t looked back. Thanks to PBT, I’ve been able to start and sustain Manu, and they continue to invite me and other businesses to their workshops, encouraging ongoing learning and growth.
If you’re a Pacific business owner or a Pacific person thinking about starting a business, I highly recommend PBT to help and support you on your journey.
